Failure Rate in schools for Maths

Why our children are failing Mathematics and Languages. Since our government introduced the OBE system makes the learners not to focus in their studies. They dont know their tables and spelling. What we need to do, to overcome this problem. Dear teachers come with a solution to solve the problem

Corruption of councillors

Dear colleagues what is happening to our wards. I'm seeing councillours enriching themselves forgetting about poor people on the ground. The Zuma Government promised that they will curbe all the misusing of monies but I'm still seeing people Toyi-toying complaining with sanitation, roads, electricity and water. We need solution to help our Government not to go down the drain.

Corruption at schools

Dear fellow colleagues
I need to know why our principal's are so corrupt when it comes to finances of the school. The principal's are protected by the Department of education while our children are suffering at school not having the textbooks and exercise books for writing. How can we solve the problem when it comes to the delivering of stationaries.

Implementation of grade levels

Dear colleagues our department is playing hide and seek games by promising that the implementation for requirements to proceed to the next grade is not yet finalised. We as educators, we tired of this system of guessing thyat the child is passing or failing. Why are they saying the implementation will be next year while our facilitators are saying it will be implemented this year. Dont you think there is a contradiction among themselves. I need to know how are going to solve this problem.

Gauteng in 2013 shortage of water

Hi! Guys is it true that Gauteng province will be running out of water in 2013. What would happen to the poor souls, because they say we need to prepare ourselves for future. Do you believe that or not it will happen as Moses profectised.

Computers vs Type writers

Is it necessary to use type writers to type our question papers and also making recording sheets. The computers arte the one's that are fastest to use in our generation. Computers you can be able to calculate word sums unlike type writers.

1. Which of the two is best to use?
2. Most of the people they prefer type writers is it true?

The use of Blog for communication

The communication is a skill that needs to be used by everybody. Learners in class should be able use the blog to communicate with their peers. What we need to understand the blog is a tool that needs to be utilise by learners to send stories to their peers. Do we think that Grade one's can be able to use the blog in class unless they use their home language. Although we know that learners are capable of using technological skills unlike the older people. I think the blog can be given to learners who are doing grade 4 - 7 in primary schools, but foundation phase can create pictures because they won't be able to send stories to the other group members.

Learners in senior primary school can communicate with their peers from the other countries and also to send pictures of their own. Learners can be able share the information with their peers and teachers. They can communicate with their favourite stars and also to review their projects by using assignments.

Do we think learners in Grade 1 can be able use the Blog in classroom situation?
Are parents intersted in using the blog for themselves or they afraid of facing challenges in life?
Is the tool blog safe to be used by any person?

Impact on the Curriculum

We argued that there is two way relationship between Ict and the Curriculum where ICt can be used to assist in conveying the curriculum but at the same time the change of content of the curriculum. the research has shown us that the effectiveness in the use of ICT to support learning is a function of curriculum content and the instructional strategy to be able to address the strategies of the content for teachers and learners. The impact of ICT on curriculm content may be viewed in terms of the declaractive knowledge. The procedural knowledge that will focus on the processes needed to obtain results.

The use of ICT impacts on both declaraction and procedural knowledge to such an extent that clearly the current curriculum and models of teaching and leartning are not designed to accomodate the increasily rapidily expanding quantity of knowledge. The technology itself has added large quantities of declaraction knowledge. The skills and knowledge required in society and workplace is different now from when schools were instituted. The classroom can be transformed into a learning community making it "possible" for many people to be a part of the learning process in an open continuing dialogue.

1. Do you think ICT will have the impact on the declaraction and procedural knowledge in our curriculum? Give a broader view on this topic.

Most of educators will perceive the impact of ICT on the curriculum to be positive. With the use of ICT learners can use more primary source material and be able to address real problems and develop analytical and interpretive skills.

How are we going to avoid ICT theft in schools

We know that the Gauteng Online tried its best to instal computers in schools, so that our learners can be able to access the internet, research, e-mail etc. Parents were informed by schools that the installation of computers in schools, they also need to take care of their school computers. We wonder what is happening to our schools thugs are stealing computers which need to we used by their children.
I need to know about Rural areas is this thing happening to their ares or it happens to Urban areas only for enriching ourselves. Since the inception of computers in Rural ares I never had any complain about the theft of ICT computers. The Gauteng Online now is trying to instal new system where people won't be able to access the the small box that they stole. The new computers that they try to instal is called SAMS, where everything is controlled to the saver.

1. Do you think people who steal computers are the people who installed them?
2. Why is the community not involve with the breaking of schools?
3. Are rural people encountering the same problem that are we faacing in Urban areas?
4. Is the secuity enough to protect our schools especial the the ICT laboratory?

Learning & Achievement on ICT for Teachers

What we know, what we believe in and what we don't believe in. It is generally believed that ICT can empower teachers and learners, promote change and foster the development of 21st century skills, also date to support these beliefs is still limited. There is a widespread belief that ICT 's can and will empower teachers and learners transforming teaching and learning processes from being highly teachers dominated to learners- centred, and transformation will increased learning gained by learners. It will create and allow learners opportunities to develop their creativeness, problem-solving abilities and informational reasoning skills.

Impact on learners achievement: The positive impact of ICT use in education has not been proven in general and despite thousand of impact skills studies. The impact of ICT use on learners achievement remains difficult to measure and open to much reasonable debate

1. Do you think our educators will manage to be computer literate?
2. Are they willing to learn and be facilitors in class?
3. Is it true that the ICT use in class will be a problem to our learners achievement?

The Impact of ICT in Teaching and Learning

The education system must improve the implementation of ICT in Rural schools, where learners are disadvantaged about using computers in their own capacity. Learners in rural areas they dont have libraries where they can be able to make their own research and the whites are the one's who are entitled to use computers because they are living in town. The impact of learning and teaching is also focusses on the teacher ratio in class. The teachers in rural areas are not computer literate and also learners are not ICT orientated. Our government first needs to build enough classes and computer laboratries.

The impact is that teachers need to be trained so that they can facilitate learning in class. Although learners have the impact on cell phones, facebooks, mixit, e-mail's but there still a gap between rural and urban areas. Our learners learn quicker than us adults because we are not interested in learning.
