Failure Rate in schools for Maths
Why our children are failing Mathematics and Languages. Since our government introduced the OBE system makes the learners not to focus in their studies. They dont know their tables and spelling. What we need to do, to overcome this problem. Dear teachers come with a solution to solve the problem

Children nowadays are lacking number sence and they are not willing to count for them addition multiplication is the same operation. My question is what happened in their Foundation Phase?
ReplyDeleteI think the goverment need to change the way it treats the learners.It makes everything to be in their favour.They do not need to work hard to pass.
ReplyDeleteIam teaching mathmatics in primary school.Schools had negleted a basic thing of teaching mental(multiplications) to learners. Another area that I had realised as a departmental head responsible for controlling maths , science , english and technology is the amount of work i.e homework and classwork that is given to learners. With more concern in mathematics learners are given less work . They say practice make perfect . So with less practice the likelihood is that there will be higher failure rate. Skill of mathematics educators is also a cocern . What about if we can create an environment like this
